Where to start? Well I am retired from the US Navy and am currently employed as the training manager at a youth residential treatment facility. I work hard and scratch out an honest living. In my spare time I am trying to further my education so that I can raise the glass ceiling that we all seem to have. After work about the only thing I do now is go home or go to class. I also try to get to Fitness One several times a week to work out and maybe even tan if I have the time. I am a family oriented man who loves kids and would be very open to having more in the future.

I am a single mother. I got to school full time for Diagnostic medical sonography. I paint as much as I can on free time. I work as well.
Other than the hard work I enoy many things, hiking, swimming, bowling, playing pool, any thing can be fun it just all depends on the company :). Though I do have anxiety, i am pretty good at keeping it under control, but large crowds and such are hard for me at times. Ask me any thing and i will tell you :).

I'm looking for a confident, kind, caring, intelligent, funny, attractive, and patient woman who is willing to go with the flow, but also able to communicate her needs and desires. I don't presume to be a poster child for healthy living, but living a healthy lifestyle, in body and mind, is important and having a friend with the same mindset would be great.

I'm pretty quiet. Something of a dork probably, although no one has said that to my face. I usually go with the flow, but am not afraid to put my opinion out there. I'm usually content and easily made content. For the most part, I couldn't care less what restaurant I eat at but I can make a decision too. I'm kind (especially if it's reciprocated), loyal (even if it's not), caring, stable, and I've been told I'm a good listener. During a long road trip I can carry on a conversation with the best of them, but enjoy the occasional stretch of quiet companionship too.
I am a father and I love it. By far the most fulfilling aspect of my life. My kids have a good mom, so they don't need another one.
I enjoy cooking (except for just myself), camping, hiking, skiing, road trips, golfing (fair weather), visiting family, reading, gaming, and blogging. I hope to start a MBA program so

Now that I am single again after 10+ years, I realize how important it is for anyone special in my life to understand that I am a package deal with my son. I learned that the hard way recently. I don't need anyone around who is annoyed by children, especially one as awesome as my son!
I am not a girly girl although I do like to dress nice, wear make up and I can even be caught wearing a dress with heels occasionally.

I am very much an outdoors girl-I spent many years as a climbing guide in the Tetons in Wyoming, I am a back country skier, snowboarder, hiker, climber but my main passion is horses. I love eventing-dressage, jumping, cross country and trail riding etc. I am also a dog lover..
I love to cook-and love to dine out at funky interesting restaurants, although I have been a vegetarian for over 30 years.I am quite independant and not looking for someone to take care of me and pay my bills, but I do really like having a man around who does guy stuff.
